Welcome
It all began in September of 2004, when Clint submitted a leather outfit for a Youth Fashion Design showcase in Sydney, Australia, and was placed fourth out of 150 entrants. The showcase cemented his new-found interest in designing women's fashion and prompted him to complete a series of fashion design courses at East Sydney and Ultimo College.
Clint started designing edgy womens clothing and experimented with different leathers and fabrics and went on to establish a high-fashion label, ClintonCharlie, to accommodate his change in style.
Clints first range under the ClintonCharlie label was showcased at the Sydney Northern Beaches Fashion Show, f.rock05 in mid-September 2005, gathering a lot of interest from the VIP guests, Industry representatives, the public and the local media who attended.
After
a year of sample making, customising and tailoring, Clint decided to concentrate on women's denim and now boasts his curve-enhancing BootyHuggers jeans as being the signature items of his ClintonCharlie label. With the first batch selling out in less than three weeks in late 2006, ClintonCharlie has not looked back and continues to go from strength to strength in this highly competitive market.
Late 2008 saw the ClintonCharlie brand move into designing corporate wear for some of the biggest and hottest hotel and club venues in Sydney, with nightspots such as The Shore Club, the Columbian Hotel and Newport Arms employing ClintonCharlies professional services to re-design their staff uniforms. This area of business continues to grow steadily.
Interest in ClintonCharlie has come from local and international celebrities, Australian fashion magazines, local media, and Clint's most recent trip to New York has seen him secure an agent for the US market, with sights set on Miami International Fashion Week in 2011 following positive feedback from the events organisers.
The addition of Silvia Grenova as a new business partner in 2010 and the establishment of Webster&Grenova Pty Ltd, of which ClintonCharlie will be part of, will bring exciting change and new business development opportunities for Clint and the ClintonCharlie brand.
